Alternative Dispute Resolution [ADR] can be a prompt, cost-effective and confidential method for entangled in an employment or labor dispute who seek an ADR professional with the expertise to help parties find an early resolution to potentially vexatious, expensive and public litigation, a work stoppage or union grievance resolution utilizing mediation and/or arbitration to resolve the dispute.

Fees & Expense

Arbitration

Hourly rate per agreement includes study time, award writing, discovery disputes, pre-hearing motions, hearings and pre-hearing conferences. Cancellation fee negotiated as appropriate. Costs reimbursed for travel expenses. Time for travel may be charged.


Mediation

Hourly rate per agreement with minimum four (4) hour daily guarantee. Cancellation fee as negotiated as appropriate. Costs reimbursed for travel expenses. Time for travel may be charged.


John R. Panico

Mr. Panico brings 40 years of employment and labor relations experience handling workplace disputes as an labor and employment trial attorney, labor arbitration advocate, mediator, human resources and labor relations executive, chief labor negotiator, union organizer and representative.


Mr. Panico’s experience includes serving as union steward with the Retail Warehouse and Department Store and Hotel, Restaurant Employees and Bartenders Unions; as an Labor Organizer with District 65, Distribution Workers of America; Labor Counsel with Magnesium Corporation of America and the San Diego City Attorney’s Office; Director of Human Resources for Indianapolis Water Company, Hospira, Inc., and Rexnord’s Engineered Chain & Conveyor Division.; Director of Labor Relations for World Minerals, The University of Chicago, The Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County Florida, Horizon Healthcare Corporation, GES Exposition Services; as Sr. Director of Collective Bargaining for New York City Transit Authority, and in private law practice representing employees in federal and state court in workplace disputes with employers.


Mr. Panico received his J.D. from Irvine University School of Law, a Masters of Science with Distinction in Labor and Industrial Relations from New York Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Economics and Society from the State University of New York at Old Westbury.


Mr. Panico is admitted to practice law in Indiana, California(inactive) and Utah(inactive); and before the U.S. Court of Appeals and Federal District Courts in Indiana and Utah.
